Review for Distant Trains Echoing in the Rain Volumes 2 and 3.
I listen to these two recordings a few times every week and never tire of them. If you concentrate, they can send you into a dream world of trains, crickets, and other night time sounds. Even if you don’t especially like trains, they are still very romantic and meditative. The sounds are recorded or blended so that they seem to be heard from a distance, but clear.
On the other hand, if you find yourself a victim to the mediocre mushy mood music all too prevalent in restaurants and such places and want to block it out, these are the ticket. You can still read or whatever you like and concentrate on these activities better because you are listening to inspirational sounds instead of the other stuff.
You can enjoy these inspirational symphonies in their own right, allow them to help you enter a meditative state, use them to block out unwanted elevator music, or help you get to sleep. I’m very grateful for them.
