Description
May 17, 2016 and the songbirds were in full spring mode. I headed to Boyer Chute NWR and set up camp for the day. Using a pair of Sennheiser MKH8040ST mounted in a Rycote blimp in a ORTF configuration… I attached the blimp to a tripod and set up in different locations, some deep under the forest canopy, then out in the open area trying to capture the sounds of the refuge. My best recordings came from just inside the fringe of the forest where I was able to get some nice echoing sounds. I let the recorder run for a hour or so then tried a different location.
This album is a culmination of several different locations mixed together giving the soundscape a nice, rich texture of songbirds and a gentle flowing creek for ambiance…
Sit back, relax and enjoy this soothing songbirds sample… Thanks for Listening!
